Joint Program in Social Work

Universities of NCA&T and UNCG

The RTI University Scholars Review Committee selected Dr. Carmen Monico as the 2021-2022 RTI University Scholar. The RTI University Scholars Program provides support for distinguished academic researchers at the Associate Professor level or higher to spend scholarly leave time at RTI International, actively partnering with our experts. The goal of the program is to foster collaboration and catalyze opportunities for externally funded joint projects in the future. The program will enable Dr. Monico to work part-time in scholarship with RTI researchers, including Sara Jones, Senior Conflict Specialist in the Governance and Youth Economic Opportunities Division of the International Development Group, and Wayne Pitts, Criminologist in the Applied Justice Research Division of the Center for Policing Research and Investigation Science. The first article associated with this scholarship was just published.
