Universities of NCA&T and UNCG

Dr. Yarneccia D. Dyson has been selected to present her research at Fhi 360 during their “Evidence that Matters Series”.

She says of the presentation, “I will be presenting the findings from my sexual health needs research study and the title of my presentation is, “Using Implementation Science to Drive the Development of a Culturally Relevant HIV Prevention Intervention for Black College Students in the South”. Briefly, this organization is committed to health equity and using science to improve health outcomes. Therefore, I am thrilled at this invitation as I am using implementation science to drive the intervention that I will pilot test among Black College Students. This work was supported by funding from the following internal mechanisms: UNCG ORE, UNCG HHS Dean’s Office, UNCG HHS OOR, and the WGSS Linda Arnold Carlisle Faculty Research Grant. As a result, a formal NIH R34 will be submitted in January 2021 to support this work.”

Congratulations, Dr. Dyson!
