The Joint Masters in Social Work Program (JMSW) at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University (NCAT) and The University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) is proud to offer our incoming 2021 Masters students the opportunity to become Health Resources Administration Services Opioid Workforce Expansion Program (HRSA OWEP) scholars. These scholarships provide students with a $10,000 stipend and also the opportunity to participate in multiple trainings throughout the year that focus on opioid use disorders and other substance use disorders. 

If you are a prospective 2021 JMSW Advanced Standing student (i.e., applying to be an Advanced Standing student starting in Summer 2021) and you are interested in becoming a HRSA OWEP scholar focused on opioid use disorder and other substance use disorders, click here for the application (you can read more about what a HRSA OWEP scholar is in the application).  Note that this application is only for prospective Advanced Standing students. Prospective 2-year students will be offered an opportunity to apply to be a HRSA OWEP scholar during their first year in the JMSW program.
