Joint PhD program students Rehaana Herbert and Lubaba Mitchell gave presentations on September 8, 2023 for the Social Policy Research Scholars program of the Social Policy Institute at Washington University in St. Louis, sponsored by J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. Herbert’s presentation was titled “Exploring the Financial Wellbeing of Black Women” while Mitchell have a presentation titled “Academic Advising as a Branch in the Tree of Student Success”.
Lubaba (2020 cohort) has entered doctoral candidacy and will soon begin collecting data for her dissertation study about the advising experiences of community college students enrolled in Human Services Technology programs. Rehaana (2021 cohort) is preparing to take comprehensive exams this fall.
