Helen Tadese, a student in the JPhD program in social work is the recipient of the Lula Martin McIver Inclusiveness Award for the 2023–2024 academic year.

Established by an anonymous donor, these awards are used to enrich and transform the lives of students whose knowledge, abilities, and future prospects will thrive at UNCG. Strengthening diversity and inclusiveness in graduate education is a central element in national talent development efforts. Recipients are nominated by their department and selected by a committee of graduate faculty members.
