Human Development and Family Studies Professor Dr. Andrea Hunter is one of 15 people selected by the Triad Business Journal as a 2023 Leader in Diversity.
Dr. Hunter was selected in part for her work as the Chancellor’s Fellow on Campus Climate, in which she led internal and external advancements at UNCG in DEI. This included creating the university’s Action Framework and Pathways to Equity, Inclusive Excellence, and Training Commons for employees to improve DEI.
Dr. Hunter also has a DEI podcast and is the lead content creator for a website designed to help the community come together and make change. In addition, Dr. Hunter led the creation of a UNCG Diversity Dashboard series.
The award is given to companies and people who work to establish and advance diversity and inclusion efforts in their workplaces and communities.
