Dr. Hunter Discusses the Importance of Family Relationships and Youth on Podcast

Andrea Hunter

Parents have to be willing to talk about what is deeply painful for them, and what got them through. And giving, again, a language and a text for it, what children are experiencing.

And I think we need to do it as a community and we need to do it, not only across generations, because there are stories grandparents could bring forward, but we need to do it across communities, because we’re all part of this American story around race, and we need to have that collective conversation if we are to be healed and if we are to be redeemed.
