Ms. Nancy Gore, who earned a Bachelor in Social Work from the Department of Social Work in 1991 and later a Masters in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has made major contributions to our BSW program and has been a true friend to HHS.
Ms. Gore served our BSW program as a field instructor for many years and has consistently been a reliable source of feedback on the growth and progress of our students, and for candid feedback on the impact of our curriculum on student learning in the field. She has held our students to a high standard while gently helping them grow and become more grounded as social workers.
Although her profession degrees are in social work, her contributions are also relevant to another of the HHS fields, Gerontology, and she is frequently called upon as a policy specialist in the area of aging services for community based organizations.
