Peace and Conflict Studies
Michael has served as Program Director at NCCJ since the fall of 2017. As Program Director, Michael oversees the design and facilitation of programs and workshops intended to increase participant awareness of identity and intersectionality, build capacity to discuss issues related to equity, and to develop intentionally inclusive community practices in order to build communities, schools and workplaces, free of bias, bigotry and racism.
He has worked with a number of organizations in the Triad and across the state of North Carolina including Liberty Hardware, Ralph Lauren, GTCC, Guilford County Schools, the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce and Governor Roy Cooper’s Task Force for Addressing Racial Inequities in Criminal Justice. Michael holds a Master’s in Peace and Conflict studies from UNC Greensboro. Michael also serves on the board of the Piedmont Interfaith Council.
