Communication Sciences and Disorders
Dr. Fox-Thomas received a Master of Arts in Audiology from UNCG in 1998 and a Ph.D. in Communication Disorders from UVA in 2003. She joined the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders as an AP Associate Professor in 2006 where she has distinguished herself in many ways.
As Coordinator of Auditory Services at the UNCG Speech and Hearing Center, Dr. Thomas initiated many innovative programs to serve the community including the Dangerous Decibels program, an interdisciplinary auditory training program for adults and children with auditory processing disorders, hearing screenings for UNCG employees participating in HealthyUNCG, and a hearing conservation program at Homecoming.
Dr. Fox Thomas provides clinical supervision to many students pursuing doctorate degrees, or engaged in audiology research. She is a wonderful mentor to our students.
