Angela Sardina, MS, CTRS graduated from UNCG in 2010 with a Master’s Degree in Parks and Recreation Management. She is a Recreational Therapist employed at Cypress Cove at HealthPark in Fort Myers, Florida. She is also the co-owner of BeneFit, LLC providing Recreation Therapy and consultation services. Angela’s primary focus area is health promotion in older adults, including falls prevention and non-pharmacological treatment services for persons with dementia.
She currently serves on the Advisory Board to the Alvin A. Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center; and is also an Expert Consultant to the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Project through the Nursing Department at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Angela is also serving on the Editorial Board of Activities Director Quarterly and Co-Chair to the Geriatric Treatment Network through the American Therapeutic Recreation Association.
She has recently been accepted into the Aging Studies doctoral program at the University of South Florida in Tampa, and will begin the program in August of 2014.
